Set the current time, then give this command

$sudo hwclock –directisa –systohc   [It'll append the systime to mchine]

Then, shutdown and start the system to check .

$sudo firefox -ProfileManager -no-remote

then u can create multiple profiles (for using multiple gmail a/c @ same time and etc).

Enjoy the Freedom

1. In your WP control panel, select the Pages tab.
2. Click on Add New.
3. Give the page a title, “My New Home Page.”
4. Create the content for your home page just as you would a blog post.
5. Click the Publish button.

Create a Recent Page

While you’re still in the Write Page subpanel, create a second page:

1. Title this one “Recent Posts” (or whatever you want to call the page that your recent posts will appear on).
2. You don’t need to have any Page Content for this one.
3. Click the Publish button.

Now you’re ready tell WP to use your new page as the home page:

1. In the Settings panel on the left navigation select Reading.
2. At the top of the Reading Options subpanel you’ll see:

1. To change the front page to your new home page, select “A static page” for Front page displays.
2. Select “My New Home Page” from the Front page drop down menu.
3. Finally, be sure to tell WP which page to use to display your recent posts. From the Posts page menu select the “Recent Posts” page you created earlier

Last, save changes

My distro–Trisquel 4.0 and I tested on CRT monitor.

First of all make sure the max resolution supported by ur monitor. Read the manual or google it.

Then try

Eg:

If u want to change 1024×768, give this command

$sudo cvt 1024×768 —this will show the modeline details

in my case it showed–

Modeline “1024x768_60.00″   63.50  1024 1072 1176 1328  768 771 775 798 -hsync +vsync

copy this line and paste to xorg.conf.

$sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Section            “Monitor”
Identifier         “Monitor0″
VendorName   “Monitor Vendor”
ModelName    “Monitor Model”
HorizSync       30-54
VertRefresh     50-120
modeline      “1024x768_60.00″   63.50  1024 1072 1176 1328  768 771 775 798 -hsync +vsync

done, save and exit.

now restart the xserver or reboot the system.

Download wc.py [python script] from below and copy the file into OpenOffice script’s directory.

Eg: copy to /home/username/.openoffice.org2/user/Scripts/python/wc.py

here u have to create python directory

then select – Tools – Macro -Run Macro – My macro- wc

Note:- 1. In line 4- replace GPRSSOUTH.CELLONE.IN — it should be ur service    providers access point.

2.Mobile number should be given without quotes.

Eg:-
ffmpeg -i myvideo.avi -target pal-vcd myvideo.mpg

then,

just drag and drop the file into k3b…… it works…

#mount /home/iso/file.iso /media/cdrom0/ -t iso9660 -o loop

then type

#synaptic –add-cdrom /media/cdrom0/

/etc/fstab

and add this line

/dev/hdb8 /windows vfat umask=000 0 0

here, /dev/hdb8 – is the partition

/windows – is mount point

vfat – is file system type

umask=000 – is option

and save the file n reboot….

Download AjaliOldlipi and Rachana fonts (or which font u want)
and copy to fonts directory

Eg:

Create fonts directory

$mkdir ~/.fonts  –this will create .fonts directory to ur home directory

then copy font to the .fonts directroy

$cp fontname ~/.fonts

restart the browser
now you can read malayalm fonts

If you want it to be available to all users copy it to /usr/share/fonts. You can check whether the fonts are installed correctly by running the command fc-list (eg. fc-list |grep Rachana ).
